Terms of use

Last updated 22 October 2026

These terms cover your use of takefridayoff.com (the site), including the pages, the guides and notes, the contact form, the readiness check, and the copies of the site and the tools we publish for software and AI assistants. By using the site you agree to them. If you don't, please don't use the site.

Who we are

The site is operated by Take Friday Off Pty Ltd (Take Friday Off, we, us), 37/42-46 Wattle Road, Brookvale NSW 2100, Australia. You can reach us at hello@takefridayoff.com.

What the site is for

The site describes our services for wellness brands (product development, formulation, regulatory work, managed manufacturing and packaging), shows work from our records, publishes guides and notes on how products are regulated in Australia, lets you contact us and book a call, and offers a readiness check. It also publishes machine-readable copies of its pages and a set of tools for software and AI assistants (see Software and AI assistants below).

General information, not advice

Everything on the site is general information. The guides, the glossary, the pathway check, the readiness check and the answers to common questions describe how things usually work; they aren't regulatory, legal, medical or financial advice, and they aren't advice about any particular product. Laws, standards, fees and the regulators' guidance change. Each guide shows the date it was last reviewed and lists the sources it was checked against, but we don't promise that a page is complete or current on the day you read it. Get advice on your own product before you rely on anything here.

Nothing on the site is an offer to provide services. Services are provided under a separate agreement, which sets out its own terms, fees and responsibilities.

Results and figures

The case studies, timelines and figures on the site (for example, a formula that went from design to production order in 32 days, or a product that went from signed brief to dispatch in 5.8 months) describe particular projects from our records. They are what happened on those projects, not a promise of the same result for another product. Reviews are the words of the people credited with them.

Using the site

You may browse the site, read it, link to it, and quote short passages from it with attribution to Take Friday Off and a link to the page.

You may not:

  • use the site for anything unlawful;
  • interfere with it, for example by overloading it, probing it, getting around its rate limits, or introducing anything harmful;
  • send false or misleading enquiries, or an enquiry on someone else's behalf without their consent;
  • copy the site's content at scale to republish it, or to train or fine-tune a model, beyond what robots.txt, llms.txt and the interfaces below make available;
  • suggest an association with, or endorsement by, Take Friday Off that doesn't exist.

Software and AI assistants

So that search engines and AI assistants can answer questions from our pages and cite them, we publish machine-readable copies of the site (llms.txt, the Markdown version of each page, and /api/content), an MCP server at /mcp, an API and a command-line client. You may use these, within their rate limits, to read, search and cite the site and to send a call request for a person who has asked for one. The content remains ours (see Intellectual property), and we may change or withdraw any of these interfaces at any time. An answer an assistant gives from our content is the assistant's answer, not ours: check anything you rely on against the page it cites.

Intellectual property

The site's copy, photographs, logos, design, data files and code are owned by, or licensed to, Take Friday Off and are protected by the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth) and other laws. Take Friday Off, Friday Launch Engine™ and The Friday Feeling™ are our marks. The names and logos of other companies on the site (our clients, the companies our team built its experience at, and the regulators) belong to their owners; they appear to describe our work and experience, and a quote is credited to the person who gave it. Apart from what Using the site allows, you may not reproduce, adapt or distribute the site's content without our written permission.

Enquiries, bookings and the readiness check

The contact form, a call request sent through an assistant, and a booking tell us about you; our privacy policy explains what we do with that. Booking a call opens Calendly, a third-party service with its own terms and privacy policy. A booking is a request for a conversation, not a contract for services. The readiness check scores the answers you give against the kinds of brand we work with; its result is information for you and for us, not a decision about you or your business.

Other sites

The site links to regulators (the TGA, FSANZ, AICIS, the ACCC), to legislation and to other sites for reference. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content or availability.

Availability and changes

We may change the site, its content, its interfaces and these terms at any time, and we may take the site down for maintenance or for good. The terms that apply are the ones on this page, with the date shown at the top. Using the site after a change means you accept the change.

The Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), including the Australian Consumer Law, or under any other law that can't lawfully be excluded. Where the law lets us limit our liability for a failure to meet a consumer guarantee, our liability is limited, at our option, to supplying the relevant services again or paying the cost of having them supplied again.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any loss or damage that arises from your use of the site or your reliance on its content (including its machine-readable copies and the answers given by software or assistants that use them), from the site being unavailable, or from other sites we link to. This section doesn't limit any liability that can't be limited by law, and it doesn't apply to services provided under a separate agreement, which is governed by that agreement.

Privacy

How we handle personal information is set out in our privacy policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales and the courts that hear appeals from them.
