Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal information Take Friday Off collects through takefridayoff.com (the site), its contact form, its booking box, and the interfaces it publishes for software and AI assistants, why we collect it, who sees it and how you can ask about it. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
Who we are
Take Friday Off Pty Ltd (Take Friday Off, we, us), 37/42-46 Wattle Road, Brookvale NSW 2100, Australia. Questions about privacy go to hello@takefridayoff.com.
What we collect, and when
When you send an enquiry. The contact form asks for your name, your email address, your brand or organisation, where the brand and the product are today, and your message. If you carried a readiness-check result over from the Partner page, it comes with the enquiry. We also record the page you sent it from, the time, and a reference number. The same applies to a call request sent for you by an AI assistant through our MCP server, API or command-line client: it reaches us like an enquiry from the site, and only when you ask the assistant to send it.
When you book a call. Booking opens Calendly inside the site. Calendly collects your name, your email address, the time you pick and anything you type into its form, under its own privacy policy. If you booked after sending an enquiry, the site passes the name and email you gave to Calendly so you don't type them twice. Calendly tells us about the booking, and we add it to your record with us.
When you take the readiness check. The four answers and the score stay in your browser. They reach us only if you then send the contact form (the result travels with it) or book a call (the booking link carries it).
When you email us. Your email address and what you write.
When software or an AI assistant uses the site. When an assistant, an app or a developer uses our MCP server, API or command-line client, we record which tool was used, what it was asked (a search, a page, a product description), the name of the app that asked, and the outcome, to learn what people look for. We don't record IP addresses, and these records are kept for three months.
Technical data. The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes the technical details of each request (your IP address, browser and the pages requested) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse, under Cloudflare's own privacy policy. The site's own spam checks use a hidden form field and the time a form took to fill in; they keep nothing about you.
Cookies and your choice. The site sets no analytics cookies unless you accept them in the cookie banner. Your choice is stored in your browser (as tfo-cookie-choice), so you aren't asked again, and you can change it any time through Manage cookies in the footer. If you accept, Google Analytics records how the site is used: the pages viewed, the device and browser, and an approximate location by region. If you reject, or don't choose, nothing of the kind is set. Calendly sets its own cookies inside the booking box, and only once you open it.
Why we use it
We use personal information to reply to your enquiry and prepare for a call; to hold the call and keep a record of what we discussed; to keep in touch about the product you asked about; to send you our notes and invitations to sessions where you asked for them; to understand how the site and its tools are used and improve them; and to keep the site secure. We don't use it for anything unrelated to these purposes, and we don't sell it.
Who we share it with
The services that process data for us:
- Cloudflare serves the site, runs the contact form and the tools, and keeps a copy of each enquiry for twelve months.
- Google Workspace carries our email, including the enquiry email the site sends us and the acknowledgement it sends you.
- Pipedrive, our customer relationship system, holds enquiries, bookings and our notes about the conversation.
- Calendly takes bookings.
- Google Analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies.
Some of these providers store data outside Australia (Cloudflare, Pipedrive, Calendly and Google each operate in the United States and elsewhere). We choose providers that publish their security measures and privacy policies, and we share only what each needs for its job. We also disclose personal information where the law requires it. Otherwise we don't give it to anyone.
How long we keep it
Enquiries stay in our records for as long as we are in conversation with you about a product, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back. The copy the site keeps is deleted after twelve months. Usage records from the MCP server and the API are deleted after three months. Email is kept for as long as it is useful to the conversation. You can ask us to delete your details at any time (see Your rights).
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. The enquiry email, the copy the site keeps, and our customer relationship system are available only to the Take Friday Off team and the providers above. No system is perfectly secure, so if you ever think your information has been misused, tell us and we will look into it.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing hello@takefridayoff.com. We reply within 30 days, and sooner where we can. If you have asked for our notes or session invitations, every one of them tells you how to stop them.
If you have a complaint about how we have handled your information, write to us first and we will respond within 30 days. If you aren't satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Children
The site is for businesses and the people who run them. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
Changes
We update this page when our practices change. The date at the top is the date of the current version.
